Purpose Of Conference
"CPEC - Myths And Realities" is an all-inclusive conference being hosted by FAST School of Management (Islamabad) with focus on the myths and realities surrounded with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The theme of this conference is not only to highlight the projects undertaken in CPEC but also to view them in light of their implications resting on both China and Pakistan. This conference will observe interactive sessions based on experiential knowledge regarding the paradigm shifts that will escort the implementation of CPEC. This will lead us to better understand where we stand, make ourselves ready for the big change that is headed our way, and to spread awareness to our upcoming generation to step up their strategies.
The objectives of the conference are: To address the impact of this multibillion dollar project on the small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) of Pakistan which account for 40% of Pakistan's GDP. To illustrate the socio-economic impact of CPEC on Pakistan. To analyze and discuss the impact of Chinese influx on the human resource in Pakistan. To assess the readiness and preparedness of potential Pakistani stakeholders to work with Chinese companies.
To identify key socio-economic factors which are critical and important regarding CPEC. To identify the challenges and opportunities to our SME's. To identify the impact of these key factors on the culture and society and businesses of Pakistan To identify such measures which can enhance and uplift the employability and compatibility of Pakistani work force

He took over the charge of Country Head Human Resource Division in October 2014. brings with him a rich banking experience, presenting an impeccable portfolio of HRM, earned during the course of over 20 years of progressive responsibility and achievement in the field. He is a Senior Certified Professional of HR accredited by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP), USA. He is also a Silver Medalist in MBA (Ex) program from LUMS, and has a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from UET.
Director General, Pakistan Manpower Institute. M.A. Political Science (Gold Medalist) University of Peshawar, Pakistan. In 2016 Khalida Gulnar was a Director General, Pakistan Manpower Institute Ministry of Federal Education and profession training. In 2015 she was Additional charge of Director General, National Talent Pool, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training and a Deputy Postmaster General , Federal Capital Area, Azad Jammu Kshmir & Gilgit Baltistan Circle Islamabad.
He is currently the Principal and Dean of NUST Business School and has been associated with it for the last 17 years. He is Co-chair of NUST CAC (Corporate Advisory Council) Banking & Financial Services Sector Committee and member Board of Advisory of CAC NUST. He is member of subject experts of HEC Curriculum Revision Committees for Management Sciences and also performed as Chairperson Strategic Plan Development Committee (NBEAC, HEC). He is Chairperson of Islamabad Chapter of AMDIP Executive Board. He is also member of NMC Committee at SHRM Forum, Islamabad.
He has actively been involved in training and consultation sessions in his areas of expertise which include Strategic Human Resource Management, International and Comparative Human Resource Management.
Dr. Sadia Nadeem is an Associate Professor and Director MARC (Management Advancement Research Centre)at FAST School of Management, NUCES, Islamabad, Pakistan, and has been associated with FAST for 10 years. Dr. Nadeem has over 18 years of experience in the field of HR, and has presented her work at many national and international conferences. . Dr. Nadeem is a Chartered MCIPD (UK) and an active member of the US Academy of Management, the SHRM Forum Pakistan and HR Forum Islamabad. She is also a member of the executive council of National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC).
