About FAST :
The National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) was established in July 2000 under the patronage of FAST Foundation. Insititute started off with five campuses and only one vision; that is to excel in all academic domains being taught at the institue. Through the years NUCES has maintained its leadership in academic arena domestically as well as internally with the help of enlightened management and tireless efforts of their highly qualified faculty. The university is well-known as nesting grounds for highly capable students that have the potentail to deliver their expertise in the field of computer science, engineering, telecom and management.




About FSM :
FAST School of Management (Islamabad) was established in the year 2004, with the aim of providing quality business educaiton to future managers and entrepreneurs of Pakistan. Ever since its Inseption FAST school of managment has grown to be one of leading business school in the country due to share hard work and dedication of faculty and studends. Our one thousand students are enrolled in undergraduate and grauduate programs. FAST School of Managemnet, Islamabad has been ranked highest among all business schools in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC). By providing oppotunities, Fast School of Mnagement is inducing endurance in the new business leaders of this country for sustainabe growth in the management and business sector.


Purpose Of Conference

"CPEC - Myths And Realities" is an all-inclusive conference being hosted by FAST School of Management (Islamabad) with focus on the myths and realities surrounded with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The theme of this conference is not only to highlight the projects undertaken in CPEC but also to view them in light of their implications resting on both China and Pakistan. This conference will observe interactive sessions based on experiential knowledge regarding the paradigm shifts that will escort the implementation of CPEC. This will lead us to better understand where we stand, make ourselves ready for the big change that is headed our way, and to spread awareness to our upcoming generation to step up their strategies.


Objective

The objectives of the conference are: To address the impact of this multibillion dollar project on the small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) of Pakistan which account for 40% of Pakistan's GDP. To illustrate the socio-economic impact of CPEC on Pakistan. To analyze and discuss the impact of Chinese influx on the human resource in Pakistan. To assess the readiness and preparedness of potential Pakistani stakeholders to work with Chinese companies.


Outcomes

To identify key socio-economic factors which are critical and important regarding CPEC. To identify the challenges and opportunities to our SME's. To identify the impact of these key factors on the culture and society and businesses of Pakistan To identify such measures which can enhance and uplift the employability and compatibility of Pakistani work force

Ahsan Iqbal

Federal Minister for Planning and Development. Deputy Secretary General PML-N Ahsan Iqbal is a member ofNational Assembly and Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Deputy Chairman Planning Commission of Pakistan, he has also served as the Federal Education Minister of Pakistan.[1] He is the Deputy Secretary General of the center-right party PML-N, and also a member of the Central Executive Committee of the party
